Motor Mile Speedway Test Session

Hendry County Speedway for the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series

30 or so Latemodels were at Hendry County Speedway for the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. Among them was 2008 Drive for Diversity Driver Michael Cherry. Fast Cherry got to the track around 3:30pm unloaded the car. Michael was in the 6th heat race and started 2nd. 3 laps in he had to pull into the pits. Something wasnt right with the car. We thought we had everything fixed ... But we were wrong.

Michael made it into the show anyways ... Started dead last - we all joked around saying he started -1 and he finished the race 17th. It was a long night. Michael drove half way home when finally he got to tired to drive then Ashlee took over. We got home around 3:00am. Well, it was actually 4:00am because of the time change. Sunday morning Michael got up and washed the car and we are getting ready for the next race...

Bon Voyage Fast Cherry

2008 Nascar Drive for Diversity Driver Michael Cherry and around 50 of his closest friends and familiy came to Jimmy and Marsha Cherry's Valrico Garage and Home to celebrate Michael's big move to Nascar land next week. Tons of food, fun, and racing tales were told. Jimmy had cable TV installed under the massive oak out front, so everyone could watch the Las Vegas race. 4 time track champion Billy Costello came down from his Satsuma, Florida home to watch his best racing buddy packing up to take a shot at the next level.
