With the highest car and fan attendance to date, Motor Mile Speedway is the best entertainment spot every Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. Blue Ridge Copier hosts the Late Model 150 this Saturday, May 31. General Admission tickets are only $5 and children 12 and under are $1. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. so arrive early to get the best seat.

Honoring Wendell Scott

The team owner Frank Deiny chose to honor Scott this season. His driver, first year Nascar D4D Drive for Diversity program participant Michael Cherry, has long listed Wendell Scott as his hero. Fast Cherry says his favorite movie is Greased Lightning, the 1977 film that depicts Scott's life. It was only natural for Deiny to have Cherry pilot the No. 34 as a tribute to Scott.

Top 10 for Fast Cherry at MotorMile
Fast Cherry qualified 14th out of 28 cars with a 16.302. He finished 6th. He brought the car home in one piece. This was a GREAT night for the D4D Program and Michael's Motorsports Team. Right now he is 13th in points. We are shooting for 2008 Rookie of the Year
